I would like to play the Italian concerto by J. S. Bach, the nocturne in c minor, op. 48 no. 1 by F. Chopin, the étude in C major op. 10 no. 1 by F. Chopin along with some more pieces (probably more études and something from the 20th century) I'll be choosing for the second school semester. And I might want to revisit some things from the first semester like the sonata in c minor op 10. no. 1 by Beethoven.
Hello, my name is Tereza Bártová, I'm 21 years old and am currently studying piano in the third year at the state conservatory Tolstého 11 in Bratislava, Slovakia. I've been playing since I was 8 and decided to pursue music a couple of years back, after graduating from the french bilingual gymnasium Metodova 2. Though it was a last minute decision and I only had a couple of months to prepare for the entrance exams, I managed to work effectively, with passion and was accepted into the conservatory.
Since then, I've spent most of my time dedicating myself to the piano, leading with great motivation and ambition through all hardships. After attending the piano summer school last summer, I got recommended and am currently a part of the pre-ICPA program in Belgium. I've also been invited to join the ICPA program in Piacenza-Italy in December of 2024 and in Zelazowa Wola-Poland this coming February.
Next year I'd like to apply to the MDW and I'd love to be a part of the masterclasses of the summer piano festival to broaden my skills, inspiration and my overall perception of music. I believe the opportunity to attend classes with professionals such as the teachers of the festival would unlock a lot of doors I'm very exited to open. As a very curious person and someone who enjoys diversity I'd look forward to hearing any input on my playing.

- L. Van Beethoven - Sonata in F minor, Op.2 No.1
Hello! My name is Sara Maria Ilea, I am 16 years old and I study at the "Sigismund Toduta" College of Music in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
I started studying the piano at the age of 4 just for my development and education. At the age of 6, when I had to go to school, my first teacher forced me to enroll in music school, telling us that she would stop taking piano lessons with me if I didn't follow her advice.
That's how I ended up at the Music College and my current teacher, to whom I thank from the bottom of my heart for all the help given.
The piano has become one of the most important things in my life. I became so "dependent" on him, that I could not imagine my life without singing. With each passing day, I discover more and more new things that the piano can offer.
All I want is to take part in this masterclass, to exceed my limits and become better with the guidance of great pianists.

My name is Medeea and I've been playing the piano since I was five. Currently, I'm a first-year high school student at the National College of Music “George Enescu"-Bucharest, Romania, studying under Prof. Anamaria Biaciu Popa. Previously, I learned from Prof. Gabriela Enasescu, who significantly shaped my early musical journey.
I've participated in various local and international competitions, winning numerous awards. Notably, I won 1st Prize at the Franz Liszt Center International Piano Competition on March 31, 2024, and 3rd Prize at the Gustav Mahler International Piano Competition on June 30, 2024. Additionally, I attended master classes with Prof. Adrian Suciu from the Mozarteum Music University Salzburg, Austria, and Lilia Boyadjieva.
About three years ago, I joined the “Remember Enescu” Foundation, which has given me the opportunity to perform at various venues in and around Bucharest, including Dinu Lipatti’s house.
I am passionate about the Romantic era of music, particularly Chopin, whose music I love to play and listen to. I also admire Tchaikovsky, Franz Liszt, and Sergei Rachmaninoff. Among contemporary pianists, my favorites include Khatia Buniatishvili, Daniel Barenboim, Yuja Wang, Lang Lang, and Eva Gevorgyan, whom I discovered through the documentary Pianoforte.
In the future, I aspire to continue my musical education at a prestigious conservatory and perform on the world’s most renowned stages.
